When a homeowner discovered a cracked skylight shortly before moving in, she asked us to replace both bedroom skylights with VELUX flat glass units. She specifically requested VELUX custom skylights and wanted the work completed before her move.
The Project Challenge
The homeowner had just purchased the house and found one skylight cracked. She wanted the damaged unit fixed before moving in and preferred VELUX flat glass, energy-efficient skylights as the replacement option.
Our Solution
We performed a curb-mount skylight replacement, removing the two existing units and installing two VELUX custom FCM skylights. Each new flat glass unit was fitted with solar operable blinds to provide light control for days when the homeowner prefers reduced daylight in the bedroom.
The Finished Project
The two bedroom skylights were replaced with the requested VELUX custom flat glass curb-mount units and equipped with solar operable blinds. The installation addressed the cracked skylight and matched the homeowner’s specification for VELUX flat glass skylights prior to her move.
